BMC Ashland 2026: Sept 17-20

BMC Ashland is a Bryn Mawr College alumnae group who visit the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) in Ashland with friends and family every fall for a long weekend (Thursday – Sunday) to see plays together. It will be our 37th year this fall: September 17 – 20 2026. Situated in the Rogue River region of Southern Oregon, the weekend offers adventure, culture and beauty. Weekend Details & Schedule

The 2026 standard package includes 4 plays, 2 dinners (Friday & Saturday evenings) and a talk by an actor or staff member from OSF Saturday morning. Plays are offered afternoon (1:30pm) and evenings (8pm) with multiple performances of some of the plays – which plays you choose to see during the Thursday-Sunday period is up to you. This year there are two optional tours (each $15 extra): a Behind the Curtain tour Friday morning (9:30am) and a OSF campus tour on Saturday morning (10:30am following the talk).

Schedule for non-play activities:

  • Thursday: most people arrive.
  • Friday: optional morning Behind the Curtain tour (9:30am); Group Dinner at a restaurant.
  • Saturday: morning talk by OSF actor or staff (9:30am); optional tour of OSF Campus (10:30am after talk), Group Dinner at a restaurant.
  • Sunday: most people depart.

Housing

This year we will be staying at Prospero’s Flagship Inn (https://www.prosperosflagship.com/) – a small hotel located about 1.5 miles from the OSF theaters across Siskiyou Blvd from the OSF campus. Rooms have two queen beds and include a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and complimentary continental breakfast.
If you wish to stay elsewhere, please feel free to make your own arrangements and the cost of lodging will not be included in your weekend cost.

For a standard weekend of 3 nights at the hotel with 4 plays (no additional tours), the estimated costs are:

  • Double occupancy: $860 per person
  • Single occupancy: $935 per person

Cost Adjustments: If you select more than four plays, add $80 for each extra play. If you see fewer than four plays, deduct $80 for each play not seen.

If you wish to stay in the hotel an extra night, the addition costs are:

  • Double occupancy, extra night: $80 per person
  • Single occupancy, extra night: $105 per person

There are 8 plays running during our weekend in Ashland: Come From Away, Emma, Henry IV Part One, August Wilson’s King Hedley II, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Smote This, The Taming of the Shrew, Yellow Face.
